Distinctions between Insulated Wire and Enameled Wire

We all know that magnet wire is insulated wire, playing insulation role. If some people who do not understand its nature might be confused with the magnet wire and insulated wire, because their main properties are insulation. In fact, enameled magnet wire and insulated wires are different in nature and their usage occasions have big difference. Insulated wire which we talk daily is typically used in high-frequency properties, but enameled wires use seldom in this area.

Their usage occasions’ difference depends on the material of the insulating layers’ difference. The insulation layer of enameled wire has not good resistance for high-frequency. But the high frequency function of the insulated wire is very good. In the high-frequency current environment, the high frequency current is mainly conducted through the outer of conductor. However, low-frequency current is very different because it is mainly conducted through the entire cross-section of conductor. It also determines the main difference.

From this perspective, the conductive density of insulated wire should be less than the density of enameled wire. The reason is that the insulated wire at high frequency environment uses mainly the outer surface of conductor. However enameled wire at low frequency environment applies essentially the entire cross-section of conductor. The difference only depend on the use of the environment. From here, we can see that the differences between both of them are obvious, and not difficult to distinguish.

Zhengzhou LPIndustry Co., Ltd is a professional manufacture of magnet wire. Our company can provide many kinds of enameled wire. Our company uphold the concept of “quality first”, we are committed to creating excess value of clients.
